Play Time in Colorado – April 2018 Adventure

Hello, Lovely!

Colorado is a beautiful destination any time of the year. Have you been?

I’m off this afternoon for another whirlwind trip to catch up with friends.

Friendship

Connections with others is one of life’s pleasures. Connecting with dear friends is a blessing beyond measure.

Garden of the Gods

We spent a beautiful Saturday exploring one of God’s prettiest explosion of nature.

A storm was rolling in later on in the day but we got to enjoy a spectacular sunny hike observing nature at her finest.

Benet Hill Monastery

After our hike we headed to Benet Hill Monastery to walk the Labyrinth which was created in 2001 by Sister Jan Ginzkey and many volunteers.

Walking a labyrinth in contemplative prayer is one of the lesser known Spiritual practices. While in France I was blessed to be able to walk the labyrinth in Chartres Cathedral. When Mary told me about the monastery I knew we needed to go.

The labyrinth is sometimes thought of as a metaphor for life. Life isn’t easy, or smooth sailing for most of us. And like in life, this labyrinth was built around trees and rocky ground to simulate the obstacles we meet in life.

Tip: want the find a labyrinth near you? Head to labyrinth locator to see if there is one close by.

In prayer and love the three of us walked. For me my prayers were filled with gratitude and remembering the pleasure of play and reconnecting with people I love.

Serene happiness permeated the woods as we walked the grounds. Even the statues seemed happy.

The weekend flew by and before I knew it I was saying goodbye to my friends and pocketing more memories.

Until the next time. Sending you love and happiness!

❤️
