50 – Or Almost 50 – Yes, 50 Things I Am Grateful For In 2019

50 – Or Almost 50 – Yes, 50 Things I Am Grateful For In 2019

Dawn Quyle Landau, an amazing writer and blogger (well worth following if you don’t already) is hosting the 6th annual attitude of gratitude challenge. I began participating a few years ago, ok, ok… 2016 is a tad more than a few years. Sheesh, where does the time go? I feel very much the newbie when it comes to the great big blogosphere world out there especially (gulp) that I haven’t actively been posting regular content. As a part-time blogger (like bare-minimum-one-quarter-part-timer) I still have a ton to learn and grateful for Dawn’s stellar example.

AnyHOO, I finally sat aside this morning to participate. I have my phone timer set to15 minutes and I’m ready to go!

How’d I Do?

50 – or almost 50 – things I am grateful for in 2019 in 15 minutes was tough this year. To be frank, I ran out of time somewhere around 30… I know, I know, I cheated to get to 50. 2019 was a year filled lots of twisty turns taking a bit more thinking time. This year’s attitude of gratitude list definitely didn’t come as easy as the previous years. I’ll go back and add a few links but that’s outside of the allotted 15 minutes.

One of the things I love about participating in this is rediscovering that even in rough patches blessings bloom. And the second thing I like about it is reading other’s posts. I hope you join along, cuz I’d love to read yours.

  1. This is such a great list!! I fell down the rabbit hole and started following the links–– LOVE the Galveston posts! Now I’m dying to go there. ☺ Do you spend winters there, or just occasional vacations? A friend’s daughter just moved to London (one of my favorite cities! We have dear friends in Henley), and I’m loving her photos of street scenes. Little Bear is so adorable!! Thanks so much for all of your (far too kind) words. I’ve been terrible with my blog as well, but this exercise always reminds me of why I love blogging most: the people! Happy New Year and giant thanks for joining in again! ♥

    1. Hi – Galveston is a great little escape for me from Houston. I don’t get down there as much as I’d like but try for long weekends and occasionally a little longer, work permitting. It’s not as fancy as other beach towns but it’s worth a visit if you get a chance. 😉 thanks again for leading the way! sending you lots of happiness!

        1. 🙂 I’m often confused at where I’m at at any given time. I traveled to London a lot for work last year. But I’m based in Houston…moved down from Alaska for the new role a few years ago. It’s been an adventure over the last few years and big adjustments! That’s why I treasure the slower pace of Galveston when I can get there.

          1. I’ve clearly been slow in responding… traveling and then life piled up. Galveston is definitely on my list, and no doubt your lovely cottage makes it that more intriguing! Thanks for sharing! ☺
